Tack is the titular main protagonist of the late Richard Williams film The Thief and the Cobbler. He is the latter of the title characters, the other one being a clever thief. His love interest is Princess Yum Yum.
Living in the city is a cobbler, Tack, and a nameless, unsuccessful yet persistent Thief, who are both mute. When the Thief sneaks into Tack's house, the two get stitched together and stumble outside, causing Tack's tacks to fall onto the street.

Tack is the unlikely hero from the 1995 film, The Thief and the Cobbler (sometimes credited as Arabian Knight or The Princess and the Cobbler). Appropriately named, the cobbler is shy and unassuming, and is brought into the story unpretentiously.
