Charles Cleveland Poole (March 22, 1892 – May 21, 1931) was an American old-time musician and leader of the North Carolina Ramblers, a string band that recorded many popular hillbilly songs between 1925 and 1930.

CHARLIE POOLE - THE NORTH CAROLINA RAMBLER. Charles Cleveland Poole was born in March of 1892 in the heart of the cotton mill belt in North Carolina. His father worked in a mill, and, by the time he was twelve, so did Charlie, changing bobbins 60 hours a week for a $3 wage.
