Maurice William Elias (December 23, 1936 – September 9, 2016), known professionally as James Stacy, was an American film and television actor who starred in the late 1960s TV western Lancer. In 1973, Stacy was hit by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle, resulting in his left leg being severed.
James Stacy was a popular Western TV star in the 1960s, but his life took a tragic turn after a motorcycle accident that made him a double-amputee. He later faced a 1995 conviction for molesting a friend's child and served six years in prison.
