Storm Thorgerson was best known for the inspired and surreal designs that graced over four decades of Pink Floyd album covers and visuals. His output reached far beyond his work for the Floyd and his influence lives on in subsequent generations of designers, photographers, filmmakers and artists.

The British graphic designer was responsible for some of the most influential and memorable album covers to date.

His design for The Dark Side of the Moon has been called one of the greatest album covers of all time. Designed by Thorgerson and Hipgnosis, the artwork for the cover itself was drawn by George Hardie, a designer at NTA Studios. Many of Thorgerson's designs are notable for their surreal elements.
