"Layla" is a song written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon, originally recorded with their band Derek and the Dominos, as the thirteenth track from their only studio album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs (1970). Its contrasting movements were composed separately by Clapton and Gordon.

En 2007 Clapton publica un doble CD recopilatorio titulado "Complete Clapton", [42] con el que el guitarrista celebra los 25 años de su tema Layla. En este recopilatorio se recogen 36 canciones que resumen gran parte de la carrera musical de Eric Clapton.

10 de oct. de 2022 · Tal como cuenta el propio guitarrista en su autobiografía, el título está inspirado en La historia de Layla y Majnun, del poeta clásico persa Nezami, que le había contado su amigo Ian Dallas. La historia caló profundamente en Clapton y decidió usar el nombre de Layla a modo de pseudónimo.
Unplugged is a 1992 live album by Eric Clapton, recorded at Bray Studios, England in front of an audience for the MTV Unplugged television series. It includes a version of the successful 1992 single "Tears in Heaven" and an acoustic version of "Layla".
