A place of splendid natural beauty, it's often referred to as the "Land of Lakes and Gardens" or the "Switzerland of India". The gardens have a distinctly Mughal influence, as many of them were cultivated by Mughal emperors.

10 de abr. de 2017 · La Jama Masjid ou mosquée du vendredi de Srinagar située à Nowhatta, au centre de la vieille ville, a été construite par le sultan Sikander en 1385 puis agrandie par la suite. Elle fut à de maintes reprises détruite par le feu, ses intérieurs étant entièrement en bois. La mosquée actuelle date de 1674.
