He is best known as the musical director and composer of the music for Doctor Who from its revival in 2005 until 2017. In 2023, he was announced to be returning to the series.
Gold is more theatrical and 'exciting' (not to say Segun's isn't exciting). Hopefully we'll get to hear some of our old favorite themes at least one more time during the 60th, personally I'd say it's very likely Gold will return especially since enough time has passed, he probably misses it.
