Dororo (どろろ) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the manga artist Osamu Tezuka.Tezuka's childhood memory of his friends pronouncing dorobō (どろぼう, "thief") as dororo inspired the title of the series. Dororo was first serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday between August 1967 and July 1968, before being cancelled.

Sabame invites the two of them to his residence and tells them the story behind the burnt-out temple and the ghoul that haunts it. However, Dororo and Hyakkimaru suspect that he might not be telling the truth.
