Biographie. Muddy Waters enregistre pour la première fois dans une plantation du Delta du Mississippi, avec Alan Lomax, pour la Bibliothèque du Congrès, en 1940.Il part ensuite pour Chicago, où il abandonne la guitare acoustique au profit de la guitare électrique, ajoutant une section rythmique et un harmonica pour former les Chicago blues.
