Fairport Convention is een Britse folkrockband, opgericht rond 1967. Hun eerste optreden was in een kerk in mei 1967. De band geldt als pionier van de Engelse variant van de folkrock, een stijl die tot dan toe geheel geënt was op de Amerikaanse folk van artiesten als Bob Dylan.

Fairport Convention är en brittisk folkrockgrupp, bildad 1967 i Muswell Hill-området i London. Namnet fick man från det hus där man repeterade, The Fairport Lodge. De ursprungliga medlemmarna var bland annat Simon Nicol, Ashley Hutchings och Richard Thompson.
Danube River Cruise 29 June- 6 July 2024. We are delighted that, following their hugely successful Rhine Cruise in June 2022 and Rhone Cruise in 2023, the legends that are Fairport Convention will be hosting another week of fun and frivolity whilst cruising on the 2nd longest river in Europe, the Danube.
