Synopsis. In 1900, a modern family from Boston moves into their recently purchased, stately country home, Canterville Chase in England, only to find it is haunted by a ghost. The ghost, Sir Simon de Canterville, who has been haunting the place successfully for over three hundred years, meets his match when he tries to scare out the American family.
Review by Lark93 ★★½. This is the fourth film of this story I've seen, and no one can seem to get it right. If I had never read the story, this would have been a fun film for kids, I guess. I love Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, and they were great here. There were some fun Shakespearean quotes. The animation was okay.
