Wayne “Ean” Evans, bassist for Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 48. Evans was diagnosed in late 2008, and after receiving conventional medical treatments, he began working with doctors on some alternative medical options, but the cancer was too aggressive, and he died on May 6, 2009.

6 de may. de 2009 · Ean was born September 16, 1960 in Atlanta, GA to Mary Searcy Evans Cochran and the late Donald Evans. He was married to Eva Gaye Widner of Columbus on September 15, 1984. As a musician, Ean performed as bassist with the legendary band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, carrying the torch and filling the shoes of the fallen Leon Wilkerson, previous bassist with the same band.
