Haileybury was established in 1862 on the site of the former East India College, whose quadrangle – “the Quad” – it still occupies today. In 1942, the School merged with the Imperial Service College (which itself had merged with the United Services College in 1906) to become Haileybury and Imperial Service College.

In 1874, a Haileybury housemaster was appointed the first headmaster of the United Services College at Westward Ho!, which later moved to Windsor and became the Imperial Service College.In 1942, Haileybury and the ISC combined to become “Haileybury and Imperial Service College”, now known as Haileybury.
Haileybury and Imperial Service College is an independent school near Hertford in England. Originally a boys' public school, it is now co-educational, enrolling pupils at 11+, 13+ and 16+ stages of education. Over 750 pupils attend Haileybury, of whom more than 500 board.
