For Big Audio Dynamite, Jones employed an early kind of multimedia approach to music, using samples, electronics, and dance beats to propel his own brand of reggae, ska, punk, funk, and hip-hop. It was a challenge in the ’80s and early ’90s to blend such elements, but BAD did it with mad skills and that were well ahead of their time.
