Pere Ubu is an American rock group formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1975. ... The band was reformed again in 1987, with Jim Jones and Chris Cutler joining for the release of The Tenement Year (1988), a far more pop-oriented album than ever before.
The Tenement Year (1988) was the first Pere Ubu album since Song Of The Bailing Man (1981). Early in 1987, Pere Ubu was reconstituted in a hotel lobby in Holland. Present were David Thomas, Jim Jones, Allen Ravenstine, Tony Maimone and Chris Cutler.
