Defendor has the same deconstructionist approach to superheroes as other smaller films of the later 00s that use the zeitgeist to tell personal stories, such as Kick-Ass which focus around coming of age, Griff the Invisible which bonds 2 internally focused lovers, Paper-Man which projects the fantasies of a mid-life crises and also apparently (I haven't seen yet) Super.

13 de abr. de 2010 · Defendor kommt ohne viel Versprechens daher, hat sich aber für mich als kleiner Geheimtipp entwickelt. Ich ziehe zum Vergleich die Verfilmung von "Kick-Ass" heran, da die inhaltliche Thematik ähnlich ist. Man erlebt Harrelson in einer seiner mittlerweile typischen Aussenseiter-Rollen.
