John Clayton Mayer, né le 16 octobre 1977 à Bridgeport dans le Connecticut, est un auteur-compositeur-interprète, guitariste et producteur américain. Bercé dès son plus jeune âge par le blues et la musique de son idole Stevie Ray Vaughan , John Mayer a commencé à se faire connaître en 1999 à la suite de ses premiers succès No Such Thing et Your Body Is a Wonderland .
