27 de jul. de 2013 · Wingspan: Hits And History was released to coincide with the broadcast of a TV documentary, Wingspan.The documentary was produced by Mary McCartney, and covered the breakup of The Beatles, McCartney’s relationship with his first wife Linda, and the story of Wings.. The collection was a commercial success, charting at number two on the Billboard 200, and remaining in the chart for 14 weeks.
The Wingspan compilation features tracks from Paul's hugely successful early solo career, from 1970 to 1984, and many classics performed as Wings. The album features 40 songs and comes in at two-and-a-half hours of McCartney music on a double CD. Wingspan was launched in tandem with a feature-length documentary film of the same name that told the intimate inside story of Wings for the first time.
