St Philip's offers a Homework Centre and Individual Subject help sessions for all students. The Homework Centre is located in the library and is staffed Monday to Thursday from 3:15pm to 4:30pm and Friday 3:15pm to 4:00pm in a supervisory capacity. The library is then supervised by library staff until 5:00pm Monday to Thursday.
This fantastic tradition continues today, with work parties arriving each mid-year holiday. On 13 February 1965 the first boarders moved in to St Philip's College. For the first 24 years, therefore, St Philip's College operated as a residential hostel only. The College’s ninth Headmaster, Mr Christopher Tudor, arrived in 1986.
