Welcome. Welcome to St Mirin’s Cathedral, the mother church of the Diocese of Paisley. Built in 1808, the original parish church was the first stone-built Roman Catholic church in post-Reformation Scotland. In 1948, the present building was raised to cathedral status, following the erection of the Diocese of Paisley in 1947.

St Mirin's Academy was a Catholic senior secondary school for boys founded in 1922 in Paisley, Scotland and dedicated to St Mirin the patron saint of the town and of the Diocese of Paisley.The original buildings were located in East Buchanan Street next to St Mirin's Church.In 1933 the school relocated to new buildings in Renfrew Road.
