Donald Pleasence, the balding, beady-eyed British character actor who created such memorable screen villains as Ernst Stavro Blofeld in You Only Live Twice, died Feb. 2 at his home in St. Paul de Vence in southern France. He was 75. Pleasence had been recovering from a heart operation just before Christmas, during which he had a valve replaced.
2 de feb. de 1995 · Donald Pleasence, who breathed life into a series of odd and sinister characters ranging from the hero of the ``Halloween'' slasher movies to the tramp in Harold Pinter's ``The Caretaker,'' died Thursday. He was 75. His agent Tessa Sutherland said the actor, who had surgery to replace a heart valve shortly before Christmas, died at his home at St. Paul de Vence in the south of France.
