Parsons School of Design enables students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in and contribute to our rapidly changing society. Students collaborate with peers throughout The New School, industry partners, and communities around the world and in New York City, a global center of art, design, and business.
Parsons offers hundreds of non-degree continuing education courses — on campus or online. We offer the variety of subject areas that you would expect from the foremost art and design school in the United States, including fashion, fine arts, graphic and digital design, interior design, and management and leadership.
Curriculum. The BFA Architectural Design (BFA AD) program begins with Parsons’ interdisciplinary First Year, in which students are introduced to creative and critical ways of making and thinking while developing an in-depth understanding of the systems, structures, complexities, and contexts of design.

Use New York City as an urban laboratory and draw on Parsons’ long-standing connections to design firms, manufacturers, galleries, and museums. Creative Collaboration Share fabrication and studio spaces with related graduate programs in students from the Architecture, Lighting Design, and Industrial Design programs, fostering interdisciplinary work.
