Although Joe Absolom loves playing grumbling plumber Al Large in Doc Martin, he told What’s on TV that he’s been seduced by the charms of portraying a volleyball coach in the Caribbean for Death in Paradise.

The actor, who plays Aiden Parker, a volleyball coach, in season 4 of the show, is also known for his performances in Eastenders, where he played Matthew rose, and in Doc Martin, where he played Al Large.
