2 de jul. de 2013 · Indeed Richard, both ‘Among Friends‘ and ‘Adventures In Jazzland‘ were re-issued in 2006 as part of a new deal with Stony Plain Records (a deal which saw the release of Jeff’s 3rd jazz album – his first for Stony Plain – ‘It’s Tight Like That‘.) The HealeyOphonic label only lasted through ‘Adventures…’ and Terra Hazelton’s debut, ‘Anybody’s Baby’.

11 de may. de 2020 · When Jeff struck up a solo career with 2002’s trad-jazz-flavoured Among Friends, the moment seemed to have passed, and the material was parked. “Had the band continued beyond that point, I’m quite certain that Jeff would have revisited some of these tracks,” says Costa. “but I think he spent some time consciously distancing himself from what had gone on before.”
Instead, this is Jeff Healey doing what he really loves to do - play fun jazz in a Dixieland style. This CD is great to throw on the machine and just listen. I've had the pleasure of seeing Jeff and his Jazz Wizards twice now, and, they put on a wonderful show. Jeff is a fabulous talent, and he has surrounded himself with top notch musicians.
