(one of my Desert Island Discs, especially Willow). Over the years I accumulated 8 of her discs, but not this one. Strange, as she has some of my top artists playing with her - Mark Knopfler, for example. The Shouting Stage is a great disc. I was lucky to find a seller on Germany who had a new cd still in its wrapper for a reasonable price.

21 de jun. de 2010 · Mark Knopfler is superb on this recording (as is the entire band). Knopflers guitar solo on "Sultans of Swing" made the lists of the best guitar solos of all time. But Knopflers guitar solos on The Shouting Stage are a thousand times more nuanced and soulful.Might be his best work IMO.
