19 de abr. de 2021 · An early '80s get-together produced the classic live album "Fuck 'Em If They Can't Take A Joke", and the band performed sporadically until 1995 when, realizing the extent of its fan base and influence, once again reformed full time. Numerous international tours culminated in 2001's "D.F.F.D.", the band's last studio album.
D.F.F.D. is the first Dictators record in... oh, way, way too long. It's a worthy successor to their classic "Go Girl Crazy" and is far more pop-oriented than Bloodbrothers. There is not one bad song on D.F.F.D., not a single one. To me, "Pussy and Money" is the standout song here, but they're all good.
22 de mar. de 2024 · Bloodbrothers was also the final album from their first era, but the Dictators stubbornly refused to die, staging occasional reunion tours and re-emerging with an excellent reunion album, D.F.F.D., in 2001. Founder Andy Shernoff revived the Dictators again in 2021, releasing a handful of singles and hitting the road.
