Brinsley Schwarz, released in 1974, is often regarded as the pinnacle of the band’s career. It showcased a matured sound that seamlessly blended elements of pop, rock, and country. This album was recorded at Rockfield Studios and Eden Studios in London, during early 1974, and was produced by Dave Edmunds , who had become a key figure in shaping the band’s sound.

This interview was arranged through Brinsley’s label Fretsore Records. I emailed them a few questions which Brinsley graciously answered in between bouts in the studio. Hope you enjoy.
Brinsley Schwarz is the debut album by pub rock band Brinsley Schwarz, released in April 1970. Recorded shortly after the band had changed its name from Kippington Lodge, the album was released just after the ill-fated "Brinsley Schwarz Hype".
