Prior to playing with David, I was playing with Frank Zappa, and in Frank’s band, you didn’t need to be creative – you needed to just play his music consistently correctly. David was quite the opposite. He wanted someone to throw lots of color at the canvas and he just turned me loose.

He was discovered by Frank Zappa playing Rolling Stones covers in a Holiday Inn lounge band. He is known for experimenting with various guitar effect pedals and the guitar synthesizer.
