From the first time I watched the Shawshank Redemption, I could never forget about it. Not the story, not main protagonist Andy DuFresne, not Red, nor that evil, disgusting, and evil Warden Norton. Nor the phenomenal messages within. Also, loved how bitter karma found its way to the corrupt warden's office door.

The Shawshank Redemption Summary. The year is 1947. A young Portland banker, Andy Dufresne, is convicted of the murder of Linda Dufresne and Glenn Quintin—his wife and her lover, respectively.
