Not until the i890's did Susan M. Dorsey resume her teaching career, when her husband deserted her and took their son, Paul, with him. Her first assignment was as a Latin teacher irA Los Angeles High School. Her teaching methods were thorough and her philosophy of life aided her as a teacher.
