John Landis (født 1950) er en amerikansk skuespiller, regissør, forfatter og produsent. Landis begynte sin filmkarriere i postrommet til 20th Century Fox, etter at han sluttet på skolen som 17-åring. Han fikk seg senere jobb som produksjonsassistent på filmen Kellys helter som ble spilt inn i Jugoslavia i 1970.
