8 de may. de 2005 · Samadhisound's fourth release (issued in late 2004) appears in the form of Harold Budd's last: Avalon Sutra, a double CD release featuring fourteen of Budd's classically pearlescent compositions on one disc, and a sixty-nine minute, one track remix of "As Long As I Can Hold My Breath" by Akira Rabelais with Budd and David Sylvian on the other.
Avalon Sutra (released as a 2 disc set) is a suite of short, heartbreaking ambient pieces, featuring Budd’s delicate piano improvisations, lush string arrangements and warm electronic drones. The second disc (As Long As I Can Hold My Breath) features a startling remix by LA based electronic composer Akira Rabelais, sending Budd’s arrangements into Feldmanesque eternities of sound.

The final Harold Budd album is called Avalon Sutra. It has a vastly original and different sound when compared to his previous works. It has a much more precise and yet sparse sound to it. The piano lines are light, meditative and are supported by the yearning violin strings of collaborator, Gibson.
