Stanley Donen (April 13, 1924 – February 21, 2019) was an American movie director and choreographer. His most famous movies were Singin' in the Rain and On the Town. Donen was born in Columbia, South Carolina. He was married to Marion Marshall from 1952 to 1959 until they divorced.
