Die Band formierte sich im April 1977 in Sheffield, ursprünglich aus den Bandmitgliedern Tom Bailey (Bass und Gesang), Pete Dodd (Gitarre und Gesang), John Roog (Gitarre) und Jon „Pod“ Podgorski (Schlagzeug).
