The Buddies featured Stan Tippins on vocals and, over time, Ralphs and Tippins joined Pete Overend Watts (guitar), from The Soulents, to form The Doc Thomas Group. The group were offered a recording contract with the Italian label Dischi Interrecord, and released an eponymous album in January 1967.
