1 de ene. de 2007 · I loved this book. Nobody writes about the pleasures of food as generously as Day-Lewis. Of course, this is so much more than a book about food. It is a travel journal crammed with family and friends, observations on people and places, and, of course, some excellent recipes. Day-Lewis is always thoughtful; her voice is original.
Instructions. Place the fruit into a bowl along with the sugar. Pour the hot tea over it. Cover with a tea towel and leave to set overnight. Preheat the oven to 180*C/350*F/ gas mark 4. Butter a 2 pound loaf tin and line it with baking paper. Sift the flour over the dried fruit in the bowl and add the beaten egg.
