The V-Roys. Band, 1994-1999 US, Knoxville, Tennessee Rock, Folk and World. The V-Roys were a Knoxville, Tennessee-based alternative country band signed to E-Squared Records. The band was formed in 1994, with guitarist/vocalist Scott Miller, lead guitarist John Paul Keith, bassist Paxton Sellers, and drummer Jeff Bills.
Notes. A collaborative release between Steve Earle and The V-Roys, featuring two mixes of "Johnny Too Bad", a 1971 song by The Slickers made popular by the Jimmy Cliff reggae film "The Harder They Come". This is backed with one song by The V-Roys alone and one song by Steve Earle & The Fairfield Four, taken from the film "Dead Man Walking".
