Mr. Young adds distinctive background vocals and harmonica to the country-folk ramble "You," and lets loose with some grungy electric guitar for "Drunken Driver."

By the early '90s, he had cultivated his own peculiar cult -- a contingent attracted to his blend of album rock and roots rock, while also appreciating his touring with Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band.
