“Shag Tobacco” was produced by Tim Simenon, who had previously worked with Bono and Gavin Friday on the soundtrack, and single, “In the Name of the Father”. Fionan Martin Hanvey, dit Gavin Friday, (Dublin, 8 octobre 1959) est un chanteur, compositeur et peintre irlandais. Ami d'enfance des membres du groupe U2 , The Edge et Bono (dont il est à l'origine du surnom), il a fondé avec Derek Rowen , dit Guggi, le groupe post-punk des Virgin Prunes , réputé pour ses prestations scéniques outrageantes dans la mouvance du rock gothique .
