After several months in hospital following a nervous breakdown, Jan, Steffi Thake, is brought to an isolated farmhouse by her husband Greg, Gianni Selvaggi, ostensibly to complete her recovery. But unsettling things start to happen almost as soon as they arrive.

Camilla is an expat living in a quiet town in Malta, writing epitaphs for the locals, however she is also a mysterious woman and Laura cannot help feeling attracted to her.
