20 de jul. de 2024 · On the Rain World Dev Logs, the Slugcat was originally referred to as “Bear Creature”. Their current name comes from a comment on a developer video stating “slug cats !!”. Various colors of Slugcats that did not make it to the final release can be seen in the Dev Logs: brown in the prototype, light pink in the early alphas, and green in the first Arena screenshots.

In a fully dark room, their ShyFromLight cycle is at its longest, spending roughly 10 seconds in one phase before switching to the other, while lighter rooms result in shorter and weaker durations of fear.
