Built in 1928 along the Long Island Sound, Playland (or Rye Playland) is the country’s only Art Deco amusement park and one of a few from that era that has operated until today. The big draw at this 280-acre space is its 1929 Dragon Coaster and 5 adult and 2 kiddie rides that predate 1930!
