With famous teams such as the Dwarf Giants, the Warhammerers and the Grudgebearers, they have been one of the game’s pre-eminent exponents of violence and explosive innovation.
Blood Bowl has never been as high-profile as 40k and so hasn't had as much pressure to be constantly generating new miniature sales. Throughout the 00s development was mostly community-led and focussed on producing a better game rather than purely on driving miniature sales, which is why you have the tightly-designed well-balanced game you have today.
