A Flock of Seagulls is the debut studio album by English new wave band A Flock of Seagulls, released in April 1982 by Jive Records.It hit No. 10 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 32 on the UK Albums Chart.The album includes the single "I Ran (So Far Away)", which reached the top 10 in the United States and New Zealand, as well as No. 1 in Australia.
Most species of seagulls flock together throughout the year. The only time they might spend time on their own is when they wander off when migrating - some gulls can wander some 12,000km throughout winter! Pairs of gulls will also split off during the breeding season to raise chicks, though they rarely stray too far from the flock.
