Rojas, Professor of Chemistry, joined the Barnard faculty in 1997 after completing an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Scripps Research Institute. Professor Rojas's research interests focus on new methods for incorporating nitrogen into organic molecules and application of these methods to the synthesis of amino sugars.

A few years ago, Barnard established something called the Committee on Online and On- Campus Learning (COOL). Melanie Hibbert and I and Liyang Li, a graduate student from Teachers College who was interested in online education, all worked together to set up these systems for my Organic Chemistry One and Organic Chemistry Two classes.
