Violette Reine Elizabeth Szabo GC (née Bushell; 26 June 1921 – c. 5 February 1945) was a French/British agent during the Second World War.Her role was known as Special Operations Executive (SOE). She was twice parachuted into France to help the French resistance activity against German forces (the Wehrmacht).. During her second mission, Szabo was caught by the Germans.

This martyr to freedom was one of the bravest women in our history and one of the most decorated, only the second female recipient of the George Cross for bravery, and also the Croix de Guerre and La Medaille de la Resistance. She was a member of the Special Operations Executive (SOE) and her name was Violette Szabo.
Violette Reine Elizabeth Bushell Szabó (født 26. juni 1921, død ca. 5. februar 1945) var en britisk hemmelig agent for de allierte og fransk motstandskvinne under den andre verdenskrig. Hun ble trent som agent og tjenestegjorde for SOE i Frankrike, ble tatt til fange, torturert, sendt til konsentrasjonsleiren Ravensbrück hvor hun ble myrdet.
