Amos Milburn. Joseph Amos Milburn ( Houston, 1 april 1927 - aldaar, 3 januari 1980) [1] [2] [3] was een Amerikaanse rhythm-and-blues zanger en pianist, populair in de jaren 1940 en 1950.
Amos Milburn. Influential boogie-woogie pianist, singer and bandleader, whose style greatly influenced artists such as Fats Domino and Little Richard. Active in the late 1940s and in the 1950s, usually recording in Los Angeles for Aladdin (6) Records. Do not confuse with Amos Milburn Jr., who is not the same person nor a relation.

Joseph Amos Milburn, Jr., one of thirteen children, was playing tunes on the piano by the age of five years.
