7 de ene. de 2021 · The Notting Hillbillies were, quite clearly, ahead of their time. Had they emerged ten to fifteen years later they would’ve been at the forefront of the roots revival and the growing popularity of Americana and it’s likely that we would’ve seen more from them as a band.
The Notting Hillbillies var ett countryprojekt av Mark Knopfler, sologitarrist och sångare i Dire Straits.Tillsammans med Brendan Croker, Steve Phillips, och Knopflers bandkamrat Guy Fletcher bildades The Notting Hillbillies. Det blev endast ett album, Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time som släpptes 1990, för att medlemmarna sedan skulle gå tillbaka till sina huvudband.

The Notting Hillbillies was a country music project formed in 1986 by Mark Knopfler, who was then lead guitarist and singer of the Dire Straits, with Brendan Croker, Steve Phillips, and Knopfler's bandmate Guy Fletcher. They made just one album, Missing…Presumed Having a Good Time.
