In doing so, she must leave behind her smoldering just-a-friend Dale (Brant Daugherty) and team up with the geeky baker's son Peter Malarkey (Cody Allen Christian) in a fight for her life.

THE STARVING GAMES is the latest parody film from the writing-directing-producing duo of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer (Meet the Spartans, Vampires Suck) and tells the story of Kantmiss (MAIARA WALSH) who volunteers to take her younger sister's place in the 75th annual "Starving Games", a national fight-to-the-death television game show set in a post-apocalyptic near future.

THE STARVING GAMES is a straightforward spoof of The Hunger Games and follows its plot pretty closely. Heroine Kantmiss Evershot (Maiara Walsh) volunteers to take part in a reality-show-style survival contest. One by one, all the other contestants are killed until only she and Peter, who has a big crush on her, are left.
