Kevin Kline vindt de juiste toon als norse weltschmerz- en kankerpatiënt die in schoonheid afscheid wil nemen, Christensen overtuigt als relnicht en ook een pluimpje voor Jena Malone die haar doorsnee girl-next-door-personage toch voldoende kleur weet te geven.
